While I do agree with you that racism does still exist, whether intentionally or not, we the people still have the right to disagree wtih President Obama, regardless of his race.

An Iraqi reporter threw shoes at President Bush, and some people on the fringe to do this day think President Bush had forewarning of the 9/11 attacks. Showing disrespect to the President has become a national past time, I’m afraid.

I’m against being disrespectful to the Office of the Presidency, regardless of race. But I do feel that I have the right to be critical in regards to President Obama’s policies without being labeled a racist.

There is a huge difference between free speech and respect. No white president would have been disrespected by such an outburst, nor would any white president be disallowed to air a video in many of the schools in this country. (Reagan and Bush both did so). Racism takes on many guises. I do not believe it is always intentional, but racism is alive and well in this country.
